In ancient times, the Amethyst stone was believed to prevent drunkenness, protected the wearer against evil and brought good luck. Also believed to cure headaches when rubbed across the forehead. The birthstone for January 20 - March 20.

Elegant double strand 18" rich purple Amethyst and Fresh Water Pearls in a pale pretty Blush pink, plus eleven rainbow glass beads. The Briolette Amethyst pendant measures approximately 1-12" with 7 diamond accents in the crown holding the Amethyst. This necklace also contains 7 teardrop Amethyst and 8 rainbow glass beads. All components are sterling silver. This necklace has a toggle clasp closure. Beautiful piece of jewelry.
